Nested Subtotals

I’ve got a file that I am currently sorting inventory $ values by a planner
code then by supplier within there. Following the instructions in excel, to
do nested subtotals so that I get the subtotal of the planner and then the
subtotals of each supplier within there, I first subtotaled by planner then
subtotaled again by supplier. When the subtotaling process is done the
layout of the outline is off and the labels for the last supplier’s subtotal
is after the subtotal of the planner instead of above it. Am I doing
something wrong?

If you have Access, you may want to copy the data into a table and run a
report wizard off the table to group the data and add subtotals where
desired. What you are trying to do is much easier in Access.
