Copy worksheet without linking

Is it possible to copy a worksheet from one workbook to another workbook
without creating a link?

If you are trying to move the whole sheet...

Right click on the sheet name... click the box that says Create a Copy

Then select the Workbook you want to copy and paste that sheet too

If you want to copy and paste data with out linking... just copy the
worksheet info and paste special values to the new worksheet.

Hi!
select the upper left cell (above the numbers and to the left of the
letters) this will highlight the worksheet.

select copy from the toolbar

go to new worksheet

again select the upper left cell

select paste from the toolbar

Hope this helps! rsjaag- - paying it forward as someone was kind enough to
answer my question today.

I have done that for the worksheet and when it is reopened you are asked if
you want to update links.

There is nothing in the worksheet that should update. Is there a place to
change "automatic" linking?

Thanks, but the worksheets that they are using are heavily formatted. I have
done it on my computer (different workbooks) and I don't get the same linking
of sheets.

Depending on the version of excel...

Edit|Links|startup prompt button
And choose the option you want.

(I _think_ that this was added in xl2002, but not positive.)
