COPY WinXP to new hard drive?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could please provide with an answer
to this question:

My hard drive's defective and I was wondering if I hooked up second hard
drive to computer, would it be possible to copy windows xp to a second hard
drive (which I'll be getting this week). If so, how do I do this?

If it's not possible, no big deal- I'll just have to install Win XP again
on the new hard drive (just be nice to avoid that hassle.)

Try using Norton's Ghost to transfer from one drive to another.
