COPY UNTILITY

[LOST AGAIN]

REINSTALLED MY UMAX ASTRA 5450 SCANNER AND NOW A SOFTWARE
PROGRAMME 'COPY UTILITY' WONT WORK, IT KEEPS TELLING ME
SCANNER LINK FAILURE. THE SCANNER WORKS, BUT I CANNOT
USE IT AS A PHOTO COPIER NOW, ANY IDEAS?????

I don't find the Umax Astra 5450 in the XP Compatibility list of products:

If it previously worked, I'd speculate that your system was an upgrade and
during the upgrade, your old scanner setup was more or less grandfathered in
and now you've either reinstalled or installed the software clean. You need
to check with Umax to see if they are supporting this scanner in XP and it
might even be supported natively but often manufacturer's don't update their
software only the drivers, hence, the Copy Machine still might now work.
Nonetheless, you need to contact Umax, it's their issue.
