Copy to CD is Read Only

Help! Whenever I save a file to a rewritable CD it gets
saved as a "Read Only" document. I can save it in My
Documents and it saves normally, but somehow with the
transfer to CD it becomes a read only format. How can I
change it, or prevent it from happening? Your help is
GREATLY appreciated.
 
The only way to prevent this from happening is to use packet writing
software. XP's built in burning software does not use packet writing (UDF )
and therefore treats a CD-R/W just as if it were a CD-R disk.
