Copy/Paste not Working

I've only seen one thread (dated January 2004) address this, but none
of the suggestions seem to have worked for me.

I just reinstalled XP (clean) and SP2. (I do have an AMD processor)
I reinstalled for other reasons (SP2 install caused crash!), but this
was starting to happen intermitently with the previous install (SP1).
I have a wireless Logitech Navigator Duo keyboard and mouse with the
lastest drivers and software.

A few things are not working correctly.

When I click to open a file or new window, the original window stays
on top. I can deal with that.

Copy and Paste results in a screen capture including a picture of the
Paste dialog or menu being pasted. Sometimes it does not do anything.
This applies to any program (don't have Office or other progs
installed yet) using the menu, Right Click or shortcut keys. So far
I've only tried copying text from Wordpad and IE as well as Properties
windows.

Things I've tried:
-sfc /scannow (nothing reported)
-drag/drop and copy/paste option is enabled
-does the same thing in other user accounts
-does the same thing in safe mode!

Anybody resolved this issue or have suggestions? My next move is to
do another clean install.

If you don't mind, would you please reply to my email also.

Thanks
Dave

Update.....
I attempted to remove SP2 via Add/Remove Programs, continual reboot.
(Thanks again MS!)
I attempted to repair XP using the disk, no luck.
I re-installed XP (not SP2), no luck.
Switched to standard mouse and keyboard, working!!!

Nailed it down to the Logitech Navigator Wireless mouse and keyboard.
I'll post back when I figure out the remedy. Meanwhile, if anybody
knows the cure, please pass it on.

Dave
