Copy/paste from/to locked word template

Hi!

I have a word template which needs to be filled by my clients. I want to
lock the template so the clients couldn't alter it in any way except insert
information in some fields. I want to enable coping part of the inserted
text and pasting it somewhere else inside the same document. I also would
like to enable copying inserted text from the template to a new word file.
When I do this the copied text is not editable, it's copied as a locked
field.

Wouldn't it make more sense to reproduce the entered information without
