I have a laptop with windows vista on it and I need to copy my emails from it
to my desktop with vista on it. I am using Microsoft Outllook 2007. Any ideas?

These are for either outlook 2003 or windows xp. Iam using Vista & Outlook 2007

So what doesn't work in
1. On old machine close Outlook
2. Copy pst file to removable media or network location or whatever that
can be accessed by the new machine.
3. On New machine copy pst file to a location you have access to.
4. Launch Outlook and do File-Open-Outlook Data file.

That in essence is what ALL those websites told you to do. So what
"doesn't work"?

It 'IS' the same process
With outlook closed, copy data file to media, from media to Documents folder
on other PC, ensure read only attribute is off, if you used cd media.
Open this data file in Outlook (File>Open>Data File...browse to location)

You should have started your own thread instead of hijacking this one.

Create a new PST with File>New>Outlook Data File. Once the new folder root
appears in your Navigation Pane, click your Inbox, hold Ctrl and click your
Sent Items, then right-click the selection and drag it to the root of the
new PST in the Navigation Pane. Release the mouse button and choose Copy.
When the copying finishes, right-click the root of the PST and choose Close.
Close Outlook. Copy the PST you created to a CD or DVD.
