copy info from outlook and paste into excel?

when i try to copy an address from outlook and paste into excel it doesn't
show up on the clipboard?

it should... how are you copying it? Does it matter if you use Ctrl+C or the
menu to copy?

is it on the clipboard if you paste it into notepad immediately? if not,
then the problem is with Excel (or how you are selecting it).

Both Outlook and Excel are know to erase copied items. In Excel it happens
if you do pretty much anything before pasting. In Outlook, it happens for
contacts when mappoint or other addins are installed that add toolbars to a
contact form - the fix is to open the form first. (It may also happen with
other outlook items.)
