Copy Formula ONLY

D

DebbieSue

I want to copy a formula from one spreadsheet to another. I have copied it
and selected Paste Special. When I do that, this is what I get.
='[01 FLF JULY 2009.xls]McPherson AP'!D25
[01 FLF JULY 2009.xls], this part I don't want. It is the source of the
copy. I only want =McPherson AP!D25

how can I make this happen?

Copy the formula from the formula bar.

Select the cell with the formula
Highlight the formula in the formula bar
Right click>Copy
Hit Escape
Navigate to the other file
Select the sheet/cell where you want to paste the formula
Right click>Paste

If only one formula see Biff's reply.

If many formulas...............

Edit>Replace

What: = sign

With: ^^^^

Replace all

Copy and paste to other sheet.

Reverse the edit>replace in both sheets.
