Copy email from old to new computer

Mike

How can I copy my email from my old computer (running
Outlook Express 6) to my new computer (running Outlook
2003)? I've tried exporting messages from Outlook
Express -- and it appears to work -- but I can't find the
output file. Thanks!

Mike,

Copy the .DBX files from your old computer - they're
located in an outlook express folder under identities
(each .dbx file will be named after one of your o. exp.
folders). Copy those into/over your new outlook exp files
and then import from outlook 2003.

That's it..

Bob.

Did you ever get an answer? This question shows up
numerous times in this group but I don't see an answer
anywhere.

Thanx.

First you'll need to copy all of your Outlook Express data to the new
computer and import it into Outlook Express there. If you need help with
that step, go to http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com for complete instructions on
backup and restoration of OE data.

Once you have the OE files established on the new machine, use File | Export
in OE or File | Import and Export in Outlook to get the data into Outlook.
