Copy contacts from one email account to another on the same comput

I have two Outlook 2002 email accounts, one for myself and one for my wife,
on the same computer. I cleaned up the contact folder on my wife's account
and presumed that we would be sharing the same contacts. I discovered that
this is NOT the case and, in the process of trying to copy her contacts to
mine, I inadvertently wiped out my contact list. I am presuming that there
is a way to copy her contacts over to my account, but I surely do need some
help in doing that.

Any help would be most appreciated!

Accounts?
Do you mean profiles?
If so, why not set each profile to use the same Outlook data file?

Thanks for the response! However, I am still somewhat confused. You are
correct, I apparently have only one "account" but two profiles, one for me
and one for my wife. I also have several ",pst" files, only two of which
have current dates. Are these two data files for my profile and my wife's???
Since it appears that there can be separate contact files/folders for the
two profiles, I would prefer to do that since my wife does not need/want/use
many of the contacts which I do. To further muddy the waters, when my wife
starts a new message and clicks on "To" she is taken to the "Select Names"
list which is supposedly from "Contacts" but this list contains many enties
which have been deleted from he contacts folder. Any idea why this is the
case?

Is there any place on the Internet where the inner workings of Outlook are
explained? I think it is obvious that I really don't have a clue and need
all the help I can get!!!

Thanks again for the response and I look forward to hearing from you again
(or anyone else who cares to jump into this thread!).

These waters are beyond muddy. They are completely opaque. We cannot
possibly discern how you have configured (or misconfigured) your Outlook
profiles from the brief descriptions of behavior you are seeing.
Each Outlook Profile only needs to have one Outlook Data File (PST file). It
can be the same data file that other Outlook profiles use or a different
one, depending on what you want to do (which also is not clear from your
post).
I'd suggest you read up on how to create Outlook profiles, then post back
with a clear description of what how you want your profiles to function if
you can't figure out how to configure your profiles after reading the KB
article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;829918&Product=out2003
Don't worry, it applies to Outlook 2002 as well.
