Copy Command/Windows XP

I purchased a new Western Digital hard drive to replace
what appeared to be a defective Western Digital hard drive
that was the primary drive. The old hard drive worked
fine with W-XP Prof. but I was getting a lot of warnings.
I purchased Copy Command to copy the entire old drive to
the new drive. Everything went extremely well after about
two hours of copying from the old to the new.

I disconnected the old hard drive, connected the new hard
drive. Turned on the computer (Dell 8250) and the windows
xp window signon logo appears, and then the
screen "freezes" at "windows is starting up". No more, no
less, I can't get to the sign in screen.

So I disconnect the new drive, reconnect the old drive,
turn on the computer, and I easily get right to the sign
in screen and the computer works absolutely fine (but I
still get the warnings that the old hard drive is somehow
working beyond its parameters.

What can I do now?

If you want to use the new drive, do a repair install on it.
