Hello,

I need to copy cells in excel and to paste them as "images" in another
sheet. Is this possible ? Actually, in excel 2003, when I choose "paste
special" I have only the following choices "text" "text unicode" "HTML".

The reason for this is that I would like that people sort cards (in
different piles) in Excel.

I want to build a macro to export all my data in these images (cards).

Any help would be appreciated.

regards,

Michael

You can select the desired cells and hold down the Shift key and click Edit
and an option will show up to Copy Picture.

Michael

Select the cells then hold SHIFT key and Edit>Copy Picture.

Then go to other sheet and Paste. It will be an image.

Not sure about the rest of your proposed operation though.

This is very interesting. I had wondered where the functionality had gone.

However, the picture doesn't update when the source data updates.

I notice there is a "Paste Picture Link" option, but it is always greyed
out. I tried all the combinations to copy the source, but none worked. Any
ideas?

James.

Copy the cell normally, then SHIFT-Edit/Paste Picture Link works for me.

Works for me too!

Alternative.....

Select a range of cells.

Click on Camera Icon to take a picture.

Note: Camera Icon can be found at Tools>Customize>Commands>Tools. Scroll down
about 2/3 of the dialog. Drag to your Toolbar.

Select a cell you want to be top-left corner of the picture. Could be on same
sheet or different one or in a new workbook.

Picture will be pasted there.

The picture will be linked to the original range of cells.

What you do to them will be done to the picure.

NOTE: the picture can also be pasted Word or MS Paint or somesuch program, but
will not be linked as within Excel.
