copy and paste a bullet list in word

I have a peculiar problem. From a word document, I am trying to copy and
paste text from a bullet list. When I paste the text, the bullet number is
also pasted along with the text. Is there a way to ignore the bullet numbers
while pasting.

Use Edit > Paste Special and paste as unformatted text.
