Just tried it. It's great.

dunno.

Installed it, The EULA states that the privacy policy is incorporated,
and is subject to change. You agree to check the web site, and any
use of the program after any change is an agreement to that change.

Not a big deal for a program that catalogs your HDD? It needs
requests a connection to Copernic each time I ran it.

Hello,
Haven't tried this out yet. It says you can find anything on your hard
disks in less than a second. And the company is a reputable one
(Copernic).

is there a alike application, that can index text (xml) inside of
zipped archives with different extensions? I'm searching for
something to index _also_ my OpenOffice.org docs. Hopefully
Google will do a better (more customizable) job.

Thorsten

Have you looked at Wilbur?

I've been using it for over a year. Works great.

Does someone know of a program which may be used to index .chm files ?

I know copernic can't do that.

Hello,
I suppose you could try to force it to treat .chm files as text
files -- you can specify the extensions in the Options dialog.

have you tried to look at a .chm in a text editor? I cannot
see any content in plain text, it is some kind of compressed.

Thorsten

oh yes, this fills my needs. Just add OpenOffice extentions
and they are detected as zip packed and containing XML. This
ist even listed as a feature...

Some enhancements on UI and indexing (constant intelligent
updating on system idle?) would be nice, but it works for me...

Thanks,
Thorsten
