Copernic Desktop Search instead of Blinx causing problems

I have recently substituted Copernic Desktop Search for Blinx. Blinx had
given me no problems whatsoever but I had read somewhere that Copernic
had the edge so I changed.
At first I was impressed but now Copernic freezes each time I try to
open any file and then try to open another one instead. It also insists
in opening some in Notepad which not only freezes when it has opened,
but wont close so I am unable to choose another file to look at in my
search.
This is terrible and not a sustainable situation and it looks as if I
will have to go back to Blinx, however before I do, can anyone tell me
what may be wrong please.

Since neither Blinx nor Copernic are Microsoft products (you've posted
in a newsgroup for the Microsoft XP operating system), you should
contact Blinx and/or Copernic tech support for help with their
programs.

Sorry again, since I use XP and I felt it might have been caused by a
conflict I thought I could raise it here, once again, my apologies.
