cooling fan

My cooling fan won't go stop after the computer boots up
as it did before. I'm running Windows XP Pro. I
remember seeing a downloadable update to fix this problem
a few weeks ago but can't find it now. Anyone know?

If your talking about the cooling fan on your CPU, it should always be
running when the PC is on.

Maybe he means his fan doesn't slow down after bootup. I have a Sony Vaio
computer and my fan slows down after bootup.
I don't know how to correct the problem.
