Hi, i have a gigabyte ga81exp m/board, it has two fan plugs onboard 'sys
fan' and 'power fan', i want to fit an exhaust fan on the rear of my case
and an inlet fan on the front.
I feel confused as my m/board manuall is very poor - do i need fans with
thermal sensors? which fan do i plug where ie exhaust as power or sys?
Any advise really appreciated. There seems to be little price difference
between coolermaster fans with or without sensor so cost is not an issue -
getting it right is!
Thanks

Fans generally don't have thermal sensors. You may be thinking RPM
sensors. If you get a fan with a 3-pin connector, it will generally
support RPM monitoring. Otherwise, not.

Either one will work, but 3-pin would be preferred since your MB has the
headers for it. Doesn't matter which you plug in where, with respect
to the connectors on the motherboard. Just remember intake in front,
exhaust in back.
