Despite numerous attempts to enable cookies in the
privicy tab in the Internet Explorer Settings (by
choosing 'accept all cookies'), it is still telling me
that they are disabled. How can i sort this out? Any
ideas?

Did you uncheck automatic cookie handling?

Restart the browser for the settings to take effect.

Check your Firewall or security programs. They my be stopped there.
