Cookies not staying Enabled

Hi everyone

I had internet explorer 6 for a very long time and didn't have
really any issues and the PC ran just fine.I decide to update to version 7
for better security and workings ect.Since ive had the version 7 i have to
keep logging in my passwords to visit every page i look at or search.
When i log into a page it asks do i wish to save the pass word (or i
tick a box to remember me) , but next time i turn on the PC it ask me to log
in again.Also when i do facebook , i have to log in and do , but if i go to
check a message it asks me to log in again and again each time i change my
page.
I have seen the settings and the cookies should be saving but there
not....is there another box asking to Enable cookies as i cant find it in my
system?

The only place I know of is:

Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > (slide to Medium)
or

Advanced (accept First-party Cookies, block Third-party Cookies)

Reading through these newsgroups over the past 6 months , IE seems to
have a few problems ; my default browser is Opera , I also use FireFox
..

Thanks Jerry i tried that , and it didnt work either , im also annoyed as
when i did system restore to go back before the change , it says no there are
changes.

Do you have Autocomplete set to save user names and passwords?

Ive since loaded Firefox to see how it goes , it is alot better as FF is
saving or asking me do i want to save passwords and giving me the
choice.There is still a few more conflicts im working out but its alot better
then before....thankyou Everyone who helped out here.
