I am trying to get on to a website and I keep getting a
message telling me that my cookies are disabled. Trust
me when i say that are enabled. I can get onto the site
thru another browser but not thru explorer.

Any suggestions??

Gail,

I have been having the same problem, and have tried
everything I know. I'm running Windows 98 SE, and I'm
trying to log into Yahoo, when I ger the denial
message: "The browser you're using refuses to sign in.
(cookies rejected)"

You may have a corrupted cookie or corrupted Cookies folder.

First delete all cookies.

If no joy, find the Cookies folder and delete it. Reboot and Windows will
create another one.

Delete any cookies for the site.
If that doesn't fix it, go to Tools | Internet Options | Privacy and click
Edit. Enter the site and click Allow.

I just want to add my voice to the minor throng of "I have
W98SE and I get that problem too." Sometimes. I blame
the Web site. I'm happy to blame any Web site that insists
that it must write cookies on my box.

If you have Norton installed you may get the cookies message on web sites that require user names and passwords. Some times disabling the norton software temporarily and then deleting the cookies and temp internet files will work. You should be able to log in. Remember to close ie before performing these tasks.
