I have tried to convert a works database and put it into access but nothing
lets me convert it. I also tried Excel, Word, etc.

I would appreciate if anyone knows of anyway to do this.

Thank you.

Hi Mary

I have no experience with your situation nor do I currently have a a copy of
Works. BUT, from what I have read throughout various newsgroups, MS Works
can "export" to several different formats, including Dbase III and Dbase IV.
The capability can be found in the "Save As" File choice.

You should then be able to import the data to Access.

There is no direct path. As Debra says, you can export the *data* to
Excel or to a comma-separated-values text file, and import that into
Access.

The screens and printouts in Works will need to be completely redone
as Access forms and reports - they are altogether different in
structure and concept, and cannot be translated.
