Converting wmv - avi - E- Mail

I am finally Ok with loading MM2 ( Ihad it all along) and see how you can save a file to an avi.

Is it possible to e- mail the avi file that has the great compression of the WMV.

The problem I have is that I need to send Video clips to my son's coach. Windows movie maker does a great job in compressing the clip and getting the quality. Unfortutaely, my son's coach in Michigan uses quicktime and can not open the file.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate

For starters, try one of the Pocket PC choices when saving... it uses the
version 7 codec and the Mac players have been able to view them for a long
time, assuming the coach uses an Apple.

To test it, have the coach try viewing one of the Pocket PC choices on the
Saving Movies > Sample Video Clips page of my website.

These saved files did not open in Quicktime.

My real issue is that I e- mail these clips to the coach and need to keep them very small which MM2 does a great job, however, quicktimes does not support the wmv.

You have been very helpful

Any other suggestions?

Right, they wouldn't open in Quick Time.... Apple users need to
download/install the VLC media player utility, which I have a link to on the
Saving Movies > Intro page of www.papajohn.org
