converting wma to mp3

Hi all,
I'm trying to find a program (free) to convert wma (WMP)
files to mp3 files, so that I can download my media player
music onto my mp3 player. Any suggestions? Does media
player HAVE a function to do this?

the free version of real player one can convert audio
into mp3 I think windows media player can transform wma
in audio
