Converting sites from 2000 to 2003

I've just purchased Frontpage 2003, and am encountering serious problems. I
have some sites that were created in FP200. When I try to open them, all the
theme information has disappeared (eg buttons, background, headers etc.) If
I put in a new theme then the buttons etc reappear, but I have sites where I
have drastically edited the themes, & created my own buttons etc, and I can't
get these to work at all. Is there anything I can do, or has Microsoft
stuffed me again?

If the sites are on you local PC, the same PC with FP2003, just open them in FP2003 and the themes
will be imported into FP2003. If you are importing the sites from web host, then you will loose the
structure of the web site. If the sites are hosted on a server that has the FP extensions, then you
need to open the site directly in FP on the live/remote server and then publish them back to your
local machine.

Thanks for the help, but the sites are on my local PC, and they don't open
properly. Fortunately I have copies of the sites. If I just double click on
them, they open fine in Internet explorer. However, If I try to open the
site in FP2003, I get the message - 'FrontPage needs to add information to
your folder in order to help manage your Hyperlinks and other Web site
content.' If I tick yes, then it opens as just lots of text, with no buttons
etc. If I tick no, it says 'Server error - the url c:\... is not contained
within a Windows sharepoint Services site.'

Where the web created on this machine with FP2000?
If not, how did you get them onto this machine?

What version of Windows were the web created under with FP2000?
How did you open the web under FP2000, as C:\... or http://localhost or http://machinename?

Is the current version of Windows XP an upgrade and is Home or Pro?

FP 2003 has replaced many themes used in FP 2002 /2000 (removed them on install)
See http://sbrenjoy.bizland.com/frontpage/themes/newthemes.html
If your theme was applied to an online Published Site open the live site in FP and Publish it to your local to get the old the
locally
