converting MS Works files to MS OFFICE 2003???

I am looking for an easy method to convert a friend from
MS Works *.wps *.wks files to MS Office Pro 2003 *.doc &
*.xls. does anyone have a script or a macro to perform
this task without lot of work

I would think you will struggle as the conversion will have to take place in
Works as the file formats are not compatible. You would have to manipulate
Works somehow and save the files as ExcelSS or Works V2 files. (Can't
answer for Word, but I suspect it will be the same).

I think you're stuck with the manual task
