Converting HTML to Plain Text

Mick

Hi all.

Computer is: an AMD Athlon T 64 Processor 34002.40 GHz,

1GB of RAM

With Microsoft Windows XP Home with service pack 2

Using Microsoft Office 2000, and Outlook for mail.

I have just gone back to Office 2000 from 2002.

when I receive a email in HTML, because we are supposed to post to a group
in Plain Text, I like to change them on replying to the group.

I Office 2002, there was a button on the tool bar that I could use to
convert to Plain Text. but I cannot find how to do this in 2002, I have
tried the "Help" but did not find anything.

can anyone tell me where I am going wrong please,

Mick.

Right click on your toolbar and click on Customize. On the Commands tab,
click on Actions. There, you can drag "Plain Text" and "HTML" to the
toolbar. When you want to change from one format to another, after enabling
message editing (I put that icon on my toolbar, as well) just click on the
format that you want to convert to. You'll get a warning message and then
the format of the message will change.

Outlook 2000 doesn't have the ability to read all messages in Plain Text,
but you certainly can click Format>Plain Text when you're replying to a
message.
