converting FROM dynamic disk TO basic

when I attempt to convert a dynamic disk back to a basic disk, I am
asked to insert a floppy in which I have previously saved disk
configuration data.

I have no such disk.

I have no data on the disk. I can trash the disk. But it is not
apparent how I can do that with the disk management plugin. Everytime I
attempt to
convert the disk back to basic I am forced through the above process of
putting a floppy in with the previous configuration data.

I am stuck.

can anybody offer a suggestion? Please mail me any suggestions

His response was incredible. Clear. and reveals
a not so obvious move that you must make.

Fixed my problem immediately.
