converting files

i downloaded some music files i purchased off the net.
they came as tmp files. what do i need to do to be able
to put burn them to cd? theyare stored in 'my music.
however, when i go to the roxio cd creator and click
on 'my music', it says there are no audio files found in
that folder. i know this is a basic thing i should
know...but i'm new to computers and don't get it!

They should not be .tmp files. Those are normally temp files. What probably
happened is that the file wasn't completely downloaded, and the temp file wasn't
automatically deleted. Where did you purchase them from?
