Converting a 2003 database to an earlier version

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to save as an earlier version please. I
have Office 2000 and would like to use an Access 2003 template available on
the MS site. Can I get a 2003 user to save it as an earlier version for me
or would this not work?
 
It will work *if* the template does not use any new features that are not
supported in Access 2000.
