Convert Word for Mac into Word for PC

I received a Word for Mac file but I have a PC and can't
open the file. What do I need to convert it into a file
readable on Word 2000 (PC)?

You might try asking in the newsgroup for Microsoft Word. Someone there
may know the answer.
 
The file that you have from the MAC does not have an extension so there is
no association to open it. What happens if you open Windows Explorer and
browse to the file, then right click and open with and choose Word. It
should be able to read the file format and open the file in the PC version.
