Shorty,
It is not quite clear what you are after, the subject states convert
template, the body of your message says something else.
If you use PPT 2003 and you want to transform your ppt to a pps, the easiest
thing to do is to simply rename the file with Windows Explorer from *.ppt to
*.pps.
If you have PPT 2007 on the other hand, you will have to open your
presentation and use save as to save it as a ppsx file. Renaming will not
work.
If you mean something totally different, post back.

Change the last letter of the extension from a T to an S. As silly as that
sounds, it works.

Of course you can also open the PPT and save As ... => PowerPoint show, but
a simple rename'll do exactly the same thing for ya.

Hi Luc,

I am afraid I do not how to express my question. I thought Powerpoint had a
..pps extension and I get a .ppt

I am using Office 2003 Powerpoint.

When I develop a Presentation and save it, it saves as the template and not
the slide show.

When I send it our via email it is not in a Slide show but rather the same
worksheet format I was using?

Maybe that is clearer??

Thank you,

Paul

To change the 't' to an '', you will need to disable the 'Hide File
Extensions' feature.

That might be a little complicated, so just try opening the presentation,
then click File>Save As. When saving, the filename should be something like
'Presentation1.ppt'. Change the last 't' to an 's'.

Thank you one and ALL!!!

Changing the extensions to "UNHIDDEN" allowed me to see the .pps extension...

An Good to GO now!!

Thanks again for all the help.
