If you have not tried to connect to Exchange (open Outlook in
offline mode) you can export your .ost to a .pst file easily. If
you have tried to connect to Exchange (online) or you have changed
your profile, then the .ost file has been orphaned.
There are companies who will sell you a program to recover an
orphaned .ost file - be prepared for some heavy dollars to change
hands, however.

Is there a way to open an offline folders file without an
Exchange email account? Is there a utility to convert
a .ost file to a .pst file so it can be opened in Outlook
without Exchange?
Thanks
