Convert iTunes to JPG?

I purchased an iPod and after using it for a few weeks decided I didn't like
it and returned it where I bought it. Meanwhile the iTunes program has
converted my JPGs to the iTune format. How can I get them back?

Are you sure that the JPG files are converted to another format,
maybe iPod/iTune just have changed the extention of the files.

Try to open a image in the "iTune" format in IrfanView,
if the extention is just changed then IrfanView should tell you
that the file is a JPG file with a "wrong" extension and ask
you if it should rename it.

right click on the icon
click "open with"
and select your favorite viewer

Don't you mean convert to mp3's? jpg's are photos.
