I have a HTML web page with MANY pictures (and captions).

I'd like to create ONE powerpoint presentation, one slide (picture, complete
with captions) for each picture.

Sure, the web is well documented going from ppt to html.

But does anyone have an idea or hint of going the other way around?
From html to ppt?

Thank you,

There's nothing I can think of.

I'm guessing that you'll have to copy and paste all the pictures. Perhaps a
more experience user can help you.

I can't name that tune in one note, but I might be able to name it in two.
I'm thinking that the text could be extracted out in such a way that it
might then import into PowerPoint as an outline. That would create the
structure of the slide deck -- one caption per slide.

Then with an Explorer window up right next to PowerPoint, I would drag the
photos onto each slide. I could probably do a photo every five seconds.

The alternative would be to allow the photos to create the structure, via
the Photo Album command. But I suspect that the text would then take much
longer to import.

I'd love to hear what some of the others think of...

Thank you,

Well, you are albe to convert your ppt to html by saving your
presentation as web page, but I still don't find a good way or tool
to convert html to ppt. But you could capture the picture with
captions you want and then insert the picture to PowerPoint. To
delight, some free trial PowerPoint add-in could help you with ease,
PPT2Flash (http://snipurl.com/ppt-swf) enables me to take snapshots,
and add them to my presentation at real time when you find the
beautiful picture you like. It let you take screenshots in two ways,
one is taking screenshot within PowerPoint window, and the other is
taking screenshots hiding PowerPoint window.

And you also could make beautiful Flash photo slide show if you
convert your ppt to Flash, like this Flash photo slide show:

Hope these can give you some help.

Hi,

I'd go for what Steve outlined. You can drag and drop into PowerPoint, if
you highlight them first, but that depends on where the images are placed in
the web page.

I'd like to hold a virtual race:

Steve batch imports the photos and then manually copies the text

vs.

I batch import the text and then manually copy the photos

Either strategy assumes that you localize the web content first. I'm betting
my go-cart over his!
