Just hit the office button, and choose "save as"....you given a chance to
save as 2000, or 2002/3, or 2007....

Actually, it was a good question. Access *never* had a save-as "file"
feature before anyway! (it is new for 07). (save-as used to be for
forms/reports etc).

Worse, the converting ability for previous versions has always been under
tools->database utilities.

So,

a) access users never used save-as to save a copy of the database (now we
have one!!)
b) the option always been hidden away under tools->database utilities

So, no....it might seem trivial obvious to you now with the answer in hand!

I think this was a 100% legitimate good question. And you know what is
really great? Others in this newsgroup can now find and see our answer.
That's why I like these newsgroups.

You been hanging around quite a bit here...so, I don't consider you a newbie
in regards to access...and I bet if you asked any long time user of access
who is new to 2007...they would not be aware of where this option/feature
is. And, by the way, I really do like the change in 2007, it makes the most
sense as compared to previous versions.

Good or bad question....I am here to help. Sometimes we get a little hard on
giving answers..but at the end of the day, answers are here without any
strings attached. That's when the newsgroups make people comfortable to ask
questions. The instant we make people unconformable for asking questions is
when we done wrong (and, I done that in the past).

So, this was a great question IMHO...and I am happy this question came
up....
