Convert Excel contact list to Outlook 2002 contacts

How do I convert or import a spreadseet into contacts. The Excel spreadsheet
is not formated for Outlook nor exported from Outlook. I know how to import,
but I need to define what info/columns goes where/Outlook columns.

YOu do that in the Import and Export dialog in Outlook, by clicking the Map Custom Fields button.
