convert drive allocated space to unallocated

How do I take a basic disk (C drive) with 18 GB allocated
space and change it to 8 GB allocated with 10 GB
unallocated? It is FAT32 formatted. It is not a Dynamic
Disk. Once I have some unallocated space then I can
create a new partition/volume for a D drive.

I assume that you have an existing installation of WinXP that
you wish to preserve. If so then you need to use a partition
resizing tool. My preference is PartitionExpert from Acronis.
Use Google to find some free ones - if you're prepared to
trust them!
