Hi..
i have a csv file. When i open it, it is very hard to see
as all the data are only separated by ; .
Can i know any way to convert the csv file to excel format
so that the data is contained cell by cell.
Pls help. Thanks

Rename your .csv file to .txt.

Then when you open it, you'll get a wizard to help. You can choose that it's
delimited and then use the semicolon as that delimiter.

And you'll be able to specify the format for each field.

Hi..Can i ask whether i can straight away convert from csv
to xls without changing to txt first.
Reason being is that we have so many csv files.
Pls help, Thanks!

You can change your windows list separator to match your data.

In win98, I can use:

Windows start button|Settings|control panel|regional settings applet
Number tab
(near the bottom)

This is a windows wide setting and may affect other programs. You may
(probably??) want to change it back when you're done.
