convert all letters in uppercase to lowercase

I am copying a huge amount of text that is all upper case into a word document.
It would be nice if I could convert this to lower case.

Select text and hold down Shift key and hit F3. As you press F3 the text will
change through CAPITALS, Initial Capitals and lower case, or use the menu
Format | Change Case.

Not only nice, but quite possible (for several versions now). Select the
text and choose Format | Change Case.
