Conversion problem

I received some Staroffice documents and am unable to
convert them to MS Office XP. Can anybody help me with
this problem? I don't want to nuy Staroffice just to
convert a few documents.

I've never used StarOffice (or OpenOffice), but maybe the originator could save
the file in .xls format.

If not, then maybe OpenOffice will open them. (It's a free 60 meg download.)

(or an inexpensive CD.)

But again, I've never used either--so I don't know for sure.

Thank you for your answer. It seems nobody has some kind
of conversion possibility. I will try Openoffice and do
hope Microsoft will provide us with conversion tools,
soon.
