Hello. I compress all pictures in PPT and it works fine. However, when I
convert the file to pdf, it does not compress the pictures - the file stays
very large. Any way to get around that? It helps to have less than7 MB for
me to be able to email the file to my printer.

Many thanks in advance.

I have MS Office 2003 and Adobe Acrobat 5.0

When you print with Acrobat, click on 'PROPERTIES' and look for the settings
options to select the Acrobat print quality settings. These settings will
control the size of the PDF, which can range from super low resolution small
files to print quality large files.

What Troy said. Also, if you have any transparent effects in your PPT, they
translate into MUCH larger PDFs than you might expect.
