Conversion of notepad to wordpad

I accidently made Outlook Express my browser and it changed all of my
document files, done in wordpad, into notepad screwing up all the work,
pictures, graphs, etc., into a host of code numbers.

Is there some way I can reverse this (change notepad documents back to
wordpad documents)?

Honestly, I have no idea what you really did but just do a System
Restore to before you did this.

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

"Restore my computer to an earlier time"

If this is happening when you double click on a filename the file
association has probably changed.

If you open WordPad first (Start, Programs, Accessories, Word Pad) and then
open the file by clicking on File, Open and drilling down to the file, does
it still open with all the "code numbers"? If it opens OK only the
association of the file extension has changed. To correct, find one of the
files with an .rtf extension in Windows Explorer. Right click on the
filename and select Open With. In the window that opens, find Word Pad in
the list or browse to the WordPad program wordpad.exe (probably located
here: "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe" Make sure that
Always use the selected ...... is checked then click OK.

Hope this helps, please let us know.
