How do I convert a document containing graphics which was created in Word
2003 to Word 2000?

No conversion should be required; the file format is the same.

Hi Rod,

The file format for Word 97 through 2003 is the same,
but the older versions may not recognize some of the
features of the newer ones for layout of graphics.

You can use the setting in Tools=>Options=>Compatability
to set it to Word 2000 to see if there are any impacts
or in Tools=>Options=>Save try turning off features not
available in Word 97 as a test.

Hi Rod-

There should not be any 'conversion' necessary. Word 2000 should be able to
open the doc with no problem unless there is more to the story than you've
shared so far. if you are reluctant to try, make a copy of the file and then
open the copy. (BTW- don't try to open the file or the copy from removable
media, such as CD or floppy. Copy it to your Hard Disk and work with it from
there.)

Good Luck |:>)

Thanks Bob,
Tried your suggestions but when the recipient of the document tries to open
it with Word 2000 an error message is received and the doc will not open.
Regards,
Rod
