when i click on my computer my document control panel it just blink and goes back to the normal desk top, if i log in safe mode i can able to go to control panel and my document and my computer
Having the same problem - clicking on Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, and folder icons - it just blinks then returns to the same desktop. I can run individual programs, like QB and Turbo Tax, but nothing else.

here is your solution right click on internet explorer --click on properties --click on advanced -- under browsing u have an option called "enable 3rd party browser extensions " . uncheck that .click on apply .it should work , if u cannot do it in normal mode try to go to safe mode , open internet explorer , click on tools -- internet options --advanced --uncheck "enable 3rd party browser extensions " . it should work now . this soln was provided by my collegue laxmi . happy troubleshooting
