[contol panel canot be found]

My control panel is no longer accessible. It cannot be found from start menu
or "my computer icon. I get ristriction errors when trying to access it. Any
thoughts on this issue?? could use some help...thanks

You may be seeing the affects of a hijackware infection (cf.

1. See if you can download/run the MSRT manually:

2. Run this online scan (in safe mode w/networking, if need be):

3. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting the requested
logs in an appropriate forum.

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
