Also try disabling your Antivirus utility, it could be a cause why its not
opening. Worth a try.

Hi Deb,

See this note by dean-dean:

Right-click Computer and choose Manage. Open Services in the right-hand
pane. Double-click on SL UI Notification Service. By default, it's
Start-up type is Manual. Another service, Software Licensing, should be set
to Automatic. If Software Licensing is not running, click on Start.

When i click on control panel from the start menue there is nothing there.

Hi, I have the same problem as Deb... I've tried Ramesh solution but my
Software Licensing service failed to start... I get the error msg : windows
failed to start service with an error number 0xd0000022

What sould I do ??
