Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs

I have a situation whereby when I want to Remove a Program, there is a
problem with how the Programs Screen is populated. The populated screen has a
number of Programs at the top area, then a large gap down to where the
remainder of the Programs appear. I have to scroll down a large amount to get
to the rest of the Programs or Updates listing.
Can anyone assist with overcoming this problem.
I am running XP Pro SP2+++ on Pentium P4 3.0 Ghz with 4.0 Gb DDR2 Ram.

This is THE program for fixing this problem:

"The gap is caused by a badly formatted "DisplayIcon" entry in the uninstall area of the
registry or a bad icon file."
