Control/C, then Control/V is fine - BUT what happens when you(often) have 2 items to paste ?

Hi

I very often use "Control/C" and then "Control/V" to copy and paste
stuff.

But I often have 2 (or more) things to paste.

Any suggestions?

(I am particularly looking for something that can be done purely with
hot-keys!)

I am unsure what you are asking...

Copy/Paste what?

Text in a document? Cells in a spreadsheet? Files on your computer?

Holding down SHIFT when selecting some things in certain areas/applications
will allow you to select contiguous items.
Holding down CTRL when selecting some things in certain areas/applications
will allow you to select non-contiguous items.

See if that helps - otherwise come back and explain in more detail what it
is you are trying to ask. ;-)

Assuming you are referring to pasting to the clipboard. When you paste to it
the previous paste is overwritten.

You will need a third-party utility to keep more than one item loaded
in the clipboard.

I am talking about have two completely different things I need to
paste.
i.e. I need to paste EITHER one thing OR a different thing.

And the 'things' can be text, graphics, all sorts.

looking for...
However:
a) I want to do it all in hot keys (I dont want to have to select from
a list using a mouse)
b) I am very suspicious that it will start hogging too much memory/
resources.

All I need is 2 or 3 different pasting buffers.

exactly what you want but look at it anyway.

to be any way of pasting with hot keys. Likewise there doesnt seem to

to limit the number of entries in the pasting buffers...

Nice try but without the hotkeys to paste with it's not much use to
me.
